In this episode, our founder, Nour Hassan speaks to musician and singer Nadine El Roubi.

Nadine El Roubi is a Sudanese artist currently based out of Cairo, Egypt. Through music that blurs the lines between hip-hop, RnB, and neo-soul, Nadine El Roubi hopes to expand the understanding of what it means, and looks like, to be an Arab Muslim woman. Influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, and modern popular artists like SZA, Jhené Aiko, and Doja Cat, Nadine enjoys channeling both timeless and contemporary sounds. Having performed in Sudan, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK, Nadine's artistry has reached audiences from various walks of life. After the release of her EP 'Triplicity' in October 2022, Nadine El Roubi will be relocating to the States to pursue music full-time.

We speak about her moving from country to country across the region and finding her sound, meeting people, and launching her career over social media, her upcoming EP,  as well as her singles including 'The Woods' that are coming out as we speak.
